West North West Working (WNWW) is partnering with the Circular Head community to strengthen education, training and employment
opportunities for local young people through the Building Youth Futures Together in Circular Head an initiative funded by the Tasmanian Community Fund. This five-year project is focused on supporting young people aged 8 to 19 living and studying in the Circular Head, building on the strengths that already exist
across Circular Head and works alongside schools, employers, training providers, families and community organisations to create stronger pathways into learning and work.
Program priorities
Launched in August 2026, the next five years will see the Building Youth Futures Together in Circular Head focus on:
- Strengthening youth voice and participation in the design, delivery and review of local education, training and employment initiatives.
- Increasing awareness of local education, training and career opportunities and helping young people make informed decisions about their futures.
- Improving connections between schools, training providers, employers and community organisations to create clearer pathways through key stages of learning and transition.
- Building the capability of educators and employers to provide inclusive, locally relevant and developmentally appropriate learning and employment experiences.
- Strengthening community collaboration and shared responsibility for supporting young people to thrive.
- Developing a sustainable, locally led model that connects young people with the opportunities, networks and support they need to achieve their goals.
